Elementary School Teachers 

We are looking for educators who demonstrate above-average commitment, flexibility, teamwork, creativity, and a strong willingness to innovate and take initiative. Beyond their responsibilities as classroom and/or subject teachers, our teachers actively contribute to school development, parent communication, and the school’s external presence. They play an engaged role in shaping school life and supporting programs and activities across the school.

With their pedagogical, communication, and organizational skills, they proactively and reliably support school leadership and contribute to the school’s development goals. This is a full-time position (28 teaching periods per week).

Qualifications and Experience

• Completed teacher training and certification for elementary education (Second State Examination or equivalent)

• Minimum of 2 years of teaching and classroom leadership experience (including teacher training/Referendariat plus 1 additional year – required for visa purposes), ideally in a bilingual setting

• Experience with differentiated instruction and supporting language development

• Familiarity with, or ability to quickly learn, the Thuringian curriculum

• Excellent German and English language skills (written and spoken)

Salary: $77,000 - $110,000, based on experience

Gesucht werden Pädagogen/innen mit überdurchschnittlicher Einsatzbereitschaft, Flexibilität, Teamgeist, Ideenreichtum, Willen und Bereitschaft zur Innovation und Eigeninitiative. Über die Verantwortlichkeiten als Klassen- und/oder Fachlehrer im Klassenzimmer hinaus, beteiligen sich unsere Lehrkräfte engagiert an der Schulentwicklungsarbeit, der Elternkommunikation und Mitarbeit in der Außendarstellung, der Schule sowie an der Mitgestaltung des Schullebens und allen Aktivitäten, die die Programme der Schule fördern. Mit ihren pädagogischen, kommunikativen und organisatorischen Kompetenzen unterstützen sie die Schulleitung und die verschiedenen Schulentwicklungsziele der Schule initiativ und verbindlich. Es handelt sich um eine Vollzeitstelle (28 Deputatsstunden). 

Qualifikationen und Erfahrung:

• Abgeschlossene pädagogische Ausbildung und Lehrbefähigung für die Grundschule (2. Staatsexamen)
• Min. 2 Jahre Unterrichts- und Klassenleitungserfahrung (Referendariat plus 1 Jahr - erforderlich für die Visabeantragung) – idealerweise in einem bilingualen Umfeld
• Erfahrung in differenziertem Unterrichten und der Förderung der Sprachentwicklung
• Kenntnis bzw. schnelle Einarbeitung in den thüringischen Lehrplan
• Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
